He built the first log cabin at Dubuque, and served faithfully during the Black Hawk War. Before his retirement, Mr. Eastman operated lumber yards at Platteville, Lancaster, Cassville, and Montfort. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of a host of friends in their grief.
