In forty years as coach and administrator at Lindsay, Charles Heatly pushed the high school girls' basketball tradition to another level, taking teams to the state tournament fourteen years, winning the championship twice, beginning the first girls' basketball camp in the state and a very early one nationally, and founding the state's All-State game.
